6/2/21 - This is an all original Winchester M1917 rifle with bayonet and scabbard. Original blued finish on all metal parts with general thinning but no corrosion. Winchester marking barrel, receiver, bayonet lug and bolt. Flaming bomb proofs on bolt, receiver, barrel and bayonet. Rifle has military inspection stamp on wrist. Barrel is dated to February, 1919. Comes with the scarce, original bayonet in scabbard. Bayonet is Winchester made with 1917 proof and flaming bomb on the opposite side of the blade. Scabbard is marked GF in an oval. Rifle comes with original sling. Bore is shiny with strong rifling but does have some areas of freckling in the grooves and could use a more thorough cleaning.
